This Single Mom Spent Her Entire Tax Return On One Thing
It’s tax season again, so you know what that means. Crossing your t’s and dotting your i’s and hoping that you’ve filled out your income tax forms as diligently as possible.
Maybe you’ll get some money back or maybe you’ll dreadfully owe something to the IRS, but either way, if you’re lucky enough, you’ll get a tax refund that can help you build your nest egg a little.
For single mom Christina Knaack, this year’s refund helped put things in perspective.
Rather than blow the money on a vacation or some pricey clothing, she instead chose to do something responsible with her $5,400 refund and paid her rent for the entire year.
A roof over her family’s head was the most valuable thing Christina could pay for and now she says she won’t have to worry about keeping her family comfortable.
Instead, she can focus more on her family and not stressing about paying her rent every month.
In her Facebook post that was shared thousands of times, Christina wrote:
"I got back $5600 on my taxes. Instead of buying my kids the latest Jordans or fancy electronics I paid my rent for the YEAR.
I'm a single mom and I do it all buy myself on a minimum wage job. I kno that a roof over my kids head is what's important.
My kids don't want for anything because my priorities are straight. And this also means I will have that extra 450 a month to do things with my kids."
Christina’s Post Has Already Been Liked Over 375,000 Times and shared over a 148,000 Times.
After being in recovery for addiction, Christina is back on track and her children are her top priority! Bravo Christina!
