Tim and Rachel Brummel were given a huge surprise out of the blue. In an interesting turn of events, Tim’s wife got pregnant even after he went through a vasectomy. Now you know that they aren't 100% foolproof. The interesting thing was that Tim actually found out about it before Rachel did! He decided to break the news to her, and the rest is history. What a peculiar thing to happen!

Tim says that he has noticed Rachel behaving “a little bit pregnant”, and by the account of the three adorable tots creating chaos in their home, we think that Tim can be called an expert in his wife’s pregnant behavior. He recognized all her symptoms: Rachel was tired a lot, craving food more than normal, even felt nauseous. They joked around the possibility, but since Tim had his tubes tied, they knew it couldn’t be possible. Talk about a turn of events!

This is what lucky dad Tim wrote. "I found out my wife was pregnant before she knew so I got to tell her the news! We also kept the news from our family/friends until we learned the gender of the baby. This video is how they will learn! No hard feelings for finding out this way right?"

Life has a funny way of working sometimes, you never know what unexpected turn is going to occur. It is important to welcome these changes with open arms and enjoy life.

Check out the surprise!

Like Murphy05 stated there is no case here. Before the procedure there are conversations had and waivers signed stating that you/they understand that it is not 100% failproof. They only way to guarantee that 100% is to not have sex. Everything has a fail rate. I mean I had my tubes cut and burnt and still got pregnant with my last child. Who we call our miracle baby and wouldn't trade for the world. If you are so upset about pregnancy and birth maybe you should abstain from the cause of it; instead of trying to rile others up and really cause them financial strain? Just a thought.

yes there is. my husband had a vasectomy. he provided 3 negative sperm samples proving the vasectomy a success. if i had gotten pregnant after that, we could sue.

There's no case. He signed a waiver before he even had the procedure that basically said it's not 100% effective. The failure rate actually has more to do with the patient then the doctor. How they heal and such. Should the doctor have told them? Sure. However it almost worked out better this way as ti seems they had fun with it. Plus they seem really happy about it.

Wow. Where is the honor in that? This is a blessing, maybe even a miracle in some eyes.. this is not a reason for a lawsuit. I feel sorry for people like you.. you are the problem with today's society and I hope you never reproduce.

Pain of childbirth? I have had two, daughters. There are labor pain medicine that you feel NOTHING during labor, and delivery. I'm not sure what decade you had your children in, but I'm sure she will get her meds. However they should sue the doctor, that did his surgery.

My parents had 4 boys and then two girls! I am the youngest and I am so glad that my parents kept going, even after two miscarriages after my older sister. But they kept going because they knew I still hadn't come yet! And here I am, a mom myself to 3 girls and one baby boy. Keep going! Girls are so much fun!

If this lady went through a vasectomy, it's no wonder why it didn't work. You might want to have your articles checked over before you post next time.

A wife dealing with a man having a vasectomy is the same as if the procedure was done to her. Men are way too dramatic when sick or in pain. So technically, the article is not written wrong.

Maybe test the vasectomy, if it tests as still being a success, then the next test should be paternity.

My husband and I had 4 boys (the plan was 3 but our last attempt turned out to be twins) and we thought our family was complete. He had a vasectomy but didn't go for his follow-up (long story) and 9 months later I found out I was pregnant. We weren't as thrilled as this couple at first but now we have our baby girl and we wouldn't trade her for the world. I have had people suggest suing but that's ridiculous. You sign a waiver and nothing is 100%. Although she wasn't in the plan (to be fair, one of our twins wasn't either) we couldn't be happier and obviously this couple feels the same. Stop the negativity and just enjoy their joy or move on.

Females don't get a vasectomy. It is a procedure for males. Females get a hysterectomy or their tubes tied. If the husband had a hysterectomy and the wife got pregnant, either the doctor made a mistake or the wife cheated.

Sorry...untrue! Vasectomies are not a hundred percent guarantee do some research!

Husbands don't get hysterectomy's as you wrote either. Women do. They are 100% effective. Vasectomy's are for men as you first pointed out and then changed by the end of your paragraph. And vasectomy's are not guaranteed 100%

A child is a gift from God whether you are prepared, not prepared, not expecting it. Doesn't give anyone a reason to murder per a couple replies. They are happy. Leave them alone. People are so full of hate and ignorance!

The wife "got pregnant after SHE let me repeat that she, had a vasectomy"? Whoever wrote this "article", just lost all credibility...

      Kat1016 · 22 weeks ago

Yeah I caught that too but still it's possible vasectomies are not a hundred percent guaranteed!

  • 1 rumble
    Kat1016 · 22 weeks ago

@hubina You need to do some research and look at the papers that you signed before the procedure is done vasectomies are not 100%!! I know a guy who got a vasectomy done and had two kids after the vasectomy even went out of his way to get DNA test because he didn't believe his wife!! Guess what?? They were his! And when he went back and bitched at the doctor he told them that he needed to reread the paperwork that he signed!!

but since Tim had his tubes tied, they knew it couldn’t be possible. Talk about a turn of events! Does anyone see what is wrong with this? I'm sure I read that a vasectomy is a cut or blockage of the tubes that carry sperm to the testes. I'm not a doctor though. People are arguing over a fake article.
