Stay up high in the trees where it's safe! There are tigers down on the ground and tigers eat monkeys! But there are also mangoes on the ground and mangoes taste wonderful. So the monkeys justify going down to look at the mangoes, then to go and touch one that's close to a branch. Then they justify going down on the ground because they haven't seen any tigers so it must be safe. While sitting on the ground devouring mangoes they hear something in the bushes that makes their blood run cold… TIGERS!!! A whole family of tigers! They have to jump and run and climb their way back up to the top of the trees to get away safely. The big monkey comes back to check on them and tell them about the tigers below. Then they find out there are banana trees down below too…

Maybe is a fun story that teaches how easily justification can lead to further temptation to keep lowering our standards. It can help children learn the dangers of lying and bending the rules. It's a funny story with a moral.
