Shocking new claims are out that the Weeknd and his crew are sexist, and it’s got some fans pissed! So we know that the Weeknd has been flying VERY high on love, life and music as of late, but it seems that high is about to end with these shocking new claims! The Weeknd recently had a show in London for his “Starry: Legend of Fall” tour and had one very strict request for after the show… NO CELLPHONES. Seems reasonable right? WRONG… it’s the rule about who can and cannot have cellphones that’s got fans up in arms. According to PageSix a source who was at the Weeknd’s concert and after-party said they had all the girls who walked in check their phones with security and that they were being super strict! Okay, so??? There are tons of other events where people are not allowed to have their phones and let’s be real… some unruly fans will find a way to make a certain situation look bad to trash a celebrities name. Here’s the catch, according to the source Security was being super strict about girls checking their phones, but guys on the other hand were able to keep their phones and DIDN’T have to check them! Security told them ‘no phones for girls for privacy.’ Now, a source close to the WEEKND says security always check anyone’s phone who is a stranger - no matter who they are.” He said, she said, a source said… I don’t see the problem in checking people’s phones, but I DO see a problem with who they are singling out, if these accusations are true! Well unfortunately the Weeknd didn’t even show to his after-party, so all the fuss about cell-phones could’ve been avoided… but you’ve got to err on the side of caution in this day in age I suppose! So technically it’s not the Weeknd who is a sexist, but rather the security guards and how they enforce the rules? I want to know what you guys think about this news and if you believe the Weeknd is sexist for wanting to enforce the rules or if it’s all a matter of ‘he said, she said.’ Sound off in the comments below!
