The Oscars tonight had performances by season veterans, and beloved stars - but newcomer, 16-year-old Auli’i Cravalho (OW-LEE-EE CRAHV-VOL-YOU) stole the entire show with her spot on performance. Watching this performance I thought two things - this girl is just 16 years old, like wow! But also playing Moana in the Disney film was her acting and singing debut and now she’s at the Oscars! I’d be nervous - but not this special girl. Auli’i lit up the stage in a gorgeous red gown as she sang the Oscar-nominated song from the Disney film, ‘How Far I’ll Go.’ The song was written by Lin Maneul Miranda, who delivered an upbeat prelude to the performance. Then, Auli’i entered the stage wearing an eye-catching red gown! The 16-year-old singer delivered a FLAWLESS performance of the Disney film’s song. Behind her, the film played out behind her. Anybody get chills through her performance? I did! Let me know how you liked it in the comment section below.
