Trump Rescinds Trans Student Bathroom Protections, Celebs React The President of the United States, Donald Trump, announced that he has rescinded that law that states transgender students may use the public school bathroom and locker rooms of the gender they identify with and now the celebs are speaking out! Just seeing the news about removing laws protecting trans people. This isn’t about politics. It’s about human rights, and it’s not okay. ELLEN PAGE: “We need to protect trans youth and stand up against this cruelty that hurts our kids. Support ‪@Translifeline” BRIE LARSON: “This is disgusting. This is unacceptable. I ‪#StandWithGavin and every Trans person who deserve nothing less than protection and equality.” Trump thinks this an issue not meant for the federal government to get involved in. The white house released a statement: "As President Trump has clearly stated, he believes policy regarding transgender bathrooms should be decided at the state level" More responses poured in. LANCE BASS: “What an asshole! Trump administration withdraws federal protections on transgender bathrooms in schools” Interestingly enough, one celeb we haven't heard from on this issue -- Caitlyn Jenner.
