Super Bowl drama this year did not just stop at the field. Lady Gaga's halftime performance led to a lot of praise, but also a lot of backlash. There were the tummy comments, the controversy surrounding her prerecorded rooftop entrance, the Beyonce no-show. But the newest drama is about Gaga stealing Pink's signature performance moves. If you all remember, Pink is famous for doing acrobatic, areal routines during her performances. For example, at the Grammy's in 2014, everyone was amazed as Pink flew around the room, hooked to cables, high up in the air, whirling and twirling. So at the Super Bowl Halftime Show, when Gaga dropped from the roof from a high-wire, and continued to perform areal stunts, fans thought it looked a bit too familiar. One viewer tweeted, "Yo lady Gaga stole pink's whole acrobatic routine lmao" Another said, "Y'all, Pink is PISSED that Lady Gaga copied her acro-yoga gimmick." But this is simply not true. Pink responded, probably sick and tired of the Gaga comparisons, and totally defends Lady Gaga. This is what she says in the giant note that she posted to her Instagram: "Let’s squash this before it even has chance to be a thing…Lady Gaga killed it yesterday. Her voice was powerful and beautiful, her outfits were on point, choreography stellar, her heart was in it, and she sang about love and inclusiveness, all in front of millions and millions of people. Lets celebrate a woman who has the guts to jump off a roof, and stand up there in the first place. Who cares if I flew first? Cause I didn’t! Cirque and Peter Pan been in the air for years! Now, can we get back to the real controversy? The one where our so-called leader is stripping our humanity away minute by minute…" And Pink captions the photo, "#WomenSupportingWomen #HappyMonday #LetsNotGetDistracted" We want to know what you guys think- do you think Gaga stole Pink's moves, or was it fair game?
