Weddings and receptions are always full of personal touches and are one of the most blissfully occasions. Wedding ceremonies offer a time and place for family members to truly express their love and gratitude for the happy couple, and are the special place for a choreographed dance.

Good thing the tables are arranged with napkins, because rarely is there a dry eye in the room when the father-daughter dance takes place, usually during a very touching song. But nothing can be compared to what this dad did on his baby girls’ wedding day.

Nicole Cortez Figg is a sign language interpreter and is not herself deaf. On her wedding day, her father surprised the happy couple with a performance of “I Loved Her First” in sign language, while lip syncing to the original.

According to Nicole, her father spent the entire year she was engaged learning the signs. He practiced in secret at Starbucks with Nicole’s best friend, and his performance at the wedding was so good it made the newlyweds well up with tears.

Nicole was a little caught off guard when her father stood up before the entire crowd and gave the beautiful gift of a performance in sign language. Cortez was completely overcome with joy as her father delivered this beautiful message, and needless to say, there wasn't a dry eye in the house!
