gThree years back, Fayaz lost his legs (both) in a mortar shell explosion in Kashmir's Budgam district. Now the 6-year-old boy can't understand why schools would not give him admission.

Here is the heart-wrenching story of Fayaz and his struggle for the education.

It's been three months that his parents have been struggling hard to get their disabled son into school. The family members say two private schools denied them even after the involvement of the Director of Education.

"Schools denied admission. They said that they would be unable to handle my child as he couldn't go to the toilet or climb stairs on his own." Reyaz Ahmad, Fayaz' father said.

The family also lost their daughter when the mortar shell exploded outside their home three years back.

A lot of people were killed and hurt near the Tosa Maidan firing range. At first, the Army helped in the medical treatment of the boy. But the admission in school still seemed impossible.

Reyaz along with his wife Firdousa shifted to Srinagar to give better education to their children. But till date no positive result is found.

The state's Education Minister Naeem Akhtar has promised to investigate into the matter. As per reports, he said that the denial is totally unacceptable.

Let's come forward and spread the word so that the little child could get his Right to Education.
