When baby Francesca was born at 24 weeks, it was just a matter of two days that separated her from surviving the odds.

Her mother Victoria went into labor early, so early in fact, that she barely made the timeline of having to get an abortion.

The odds weren’t looking good for her baby, who was born weighing a mere one pound, six ounces. Doctors told Victoria not to have any expectations she would live.

So the desperate mom created some keepsake footprints of Francesca’s to remember just how tiny her precious angel was. There, next to a penny, were two tiny inked footprints for Victoria to cherish forever.

“After Francesca was born nurses actually gave me a memory box, which they do for babies that die at birth. They took prints of her hands and feet for me,” she said.

“I took a picture of her footprint next to a penny to show how small she was. I got to see her three-and-a-half hours after she was born. She looked like a 3D scan.”

She spent two months in an incubator and after four months, was healthy enough to go home.

Fast-forward to nine months later, and little Francesca has proved everyone wrong and survived!
