Lea Michele is ready to take 2017 to new places with the announcement of the title of her new album, “PLACES.” She told Billboard magazine "This record deserves all of my time and care, and that's what I plan on doing this year," going on to say "F**k it if people don't like it," Lea Michele starred as Rachel on the hit fox musical GLEE which aired from 2009 to 2015. As the lead on the series Lea was tasked with recording 10 songs a week for Glee in the studio, from Salt N Pepa to Kelly Clarkson to Celine Dion, and when it came time to record her first album ‘Louder,’ Lea says “I think it was a little clouded for me in terms of wanting to figure out what my own sound was.” But now, being free from major obligations, she 100% plans on focusing on the new record ‘Places.’ Additionally we know that lea went through a tragedy losing her boyfriend at the time Cory Montieth, earlier this week lea posted this intimate Polaroid from back in 2012. When speaking on the subject, Lea said “you hear the darkness of what was going on in my life. I don't think there is a consistency to the record that I was hoping for, but that's life." “For the new album, expect a vocal album.” She continued: “There are definitely love songs in there, but there's also a sense of freedom. I went back and listened to all of the divas that I loved, and tried to find how that music resonates for me, in 2017."
