Angel Fiorini woke up in the middle of the night to the terrifying burning smell of her house on fire.

With her husband Aaron away at work, Angel knew she was her children’s only hope to survive.

Gasping for air, the Newman Lake mother of three quickly scooped up three-year-old son, Vinny, and 18-month-old daughter, Rosalie, and brought them to safety.

As she ran back in to rescue her third child, seven-year-old Gianna, she shut the door behind her to prevent Vinny and Rosalie from coming back inside and getting hurt.

The flames and smoke began to take their toll on Angel and Gianna and both of them collapsed near the entryway to their home.

A good samaritan who happened to be walking by saw the house in flames and ran inside to rescue the unconscious mother and daughter, who were airlifted to a hospital for the second and third degree burns they sustained in the fire.

Angel is still recovering from having over 43% of her body burned; daughter Gianna’s body is 14% burned. Luckily, Vinny and Rosalie’s injuries were very minor and they are doing well.

Although they lost everything in the fire, Angel’s family is convinced that “God was with her that night.”
