Courtney Ann Sanford was cruising along and blasting her favorite Pharrell song, “Happy,” when a horrific tragedy happened.

As the 32-year-old drove, she snapped a selfie with the caption “The happy song makes me HAPPY” and uploaded it to her Facebook account.

In a split second, her car careened out of control into oncoming traffic.

She hit a 24,000 pound recycling truck, drove off the road and hit a tree. All while driving at 45 mph. Her car burst into flames and she died instantly.

Investigators say the time the college graduate posted on Facebook and the time the fatal accident occurred were just one minute apart.

Her phone was found at the scene of the accident with her last Facebook post still visible on the screen.

Her parents are devastated. The college graduate had a promising life ahead of her in the healthcare industry and it was all gone within seconds.

Law enforcements officials say Courtney’s tragic accident serves as a message to avoid texting and driving or the results could be deadly.

TEXTING WHILE DRIVING? It can wait!!! Your life is worth more than a text.
