Tens of thousands of mourners packed Medellin’s Atanasio Girardot Sports Complex on the evening of Wednesday, November 30, to pay tribute to the Brazilian football team Chapecoense, whose players were killed in a plane crash two days earlier.

The team was scheduled to play against Atletico Nacional in the Copa Sudamericana finals on Wednesday but the plane crash late on Monday killed at least 71 people, including most of its members. Only six people, including three Chapecoense members, aboard the LaMia charter flight en route from Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia, to Medellin survived.

Attendees of the November 30 memorial at Medellin sang “Vamos, vamos Chape,” as seen in this video.
