As Iraqi forces continue to push towards central Mosul, the Islamic State-affiliated Amaq News released video purporting to show the capture of the village of Tal Zat, 22 miles west of Mosul, on November 30.

Tal Zat had previously been secured by Iraqi Shiite militias involved in the Tal Afar offensive. The November 30 attack reportedly involved multiple car bombings. Footage here shows multiple explosions along the outer edges of the village. The village itself is positioned almost halfway between Mosul and Tal Afar.
