Tennessee National Guard video taken Tuesday, November 29, shows extensive damage caused by a wildfire that ripped through Gatlinburg. The video starts with an aerial view and then shows burned-out homes as guardsmen drive by.

Gatlinburg residents and officials have turned to cleaning up the community after drenching rains helped put out the fire. Officials said on Wednesday the number of buildings damaged in Gatlinburg has reached 300 with another 400 damaged or destroyed in the entire county. Three additional people also were rescued, and a total of seven people have died as a result of the fire. Another 74 people were injured.

The wildfire burned 15,653 acres and was 10 percent contained on Wednesday morning. Officials said the wildfire is the largest in Tennessee in 100 years.
