Clashes Continue in Northwestern Aleppo City

As forces loyal to the Assad regime <a href="https://newswire.storyful.com/storylines/*/stories/150463?referred_from=World%20News" target="_blank">claimed additional gains in eastern Aleppo</a>, rebels from the <a href="https://twitter.com/ShamLegion/status/804260758024495104" target="_blank">Sham Legion</a> reported fighting in northwestern Aleppo’s al-Zahra neighborhood against pro-Assad militias on December 1.

The area has been decimated by <a href="https://newswire.storyful.com/storylines/*/stories/146921" target="_blank">months of fighting over the area</a> given its proximity to Highway 214, which runs along the western edge of the city and connects to major provincial highways and supply lines.
