Fans sang, cheered, and cried as the caskets of the Chapecoense soccer players killed in the crash of flight CP2933 passed by them on the streets outside the team’s stadium in Chapecó, Brazil, on Saturday, December 3.

The plane crashed in La Union, a town in Valle del Cauca, Colombia, on Tuesday, November 29, <a href="http://www.bbc.com/news/world-latin-america-38193869" target="_blank">killing 72 passengers</a>, including 19 members of the Brazilian football club Chapecoense, crew members, and reporters. The chartered flight, operated by the LaMia airline, declared an emergency due to electrical faults, according to the Jose Maria Cordova International Airport in Antioquia, Colombia. The plane was en route from Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia, to Medellin, where Chapecoense was scheduled to play against Atletico Nacional in the Copa Sudamericana finals on Wednesday.
