Passengers on board SkyWest Flight 5588 on Sunday, December 4, were readied for an emergency landing at San Antonio Airport after the aircraft experienced “landing gear issues”.

The plane, operating as United Express from Houston to Monterrey, Mexico, made an emergency landing on San Antonio International Airport’s runway 4. The nose gear of the plane collapsed upon landing but all passengers were safe, San Antonio-based KENS5 reported.

An announcement can be heard in this video, with a crew member saying: “There could be multiple impacts before the aircraft comes to a complete stop.” The passengers are then told that they will then be told to remain seated or “evacuate, evacuate, evacuate.”

The crew member adds that should passengers be instructed to evacuate, “Leave everything behind, and I mean, everything behind. You will take only yourself and the children you are responsible for.”
