Deadly Fire Takes Hold of Karachi Hotel, Guests Scale Building to Flee

Rumble At least 11 people were killed and 30 others injured, including Pakistani cricket players, as a fire tore through a Karachi hotel in the early hours of Monday, December 5.

International cricketer Sohaib Maqsood was at the hotel with fellow Pakistani players when the fire broke out. Numerous <a href="https://www.geo.tv/latest/122609-Fire-breaks-out-in-a-private-hotel-near-Shahrah-e-Faisal-in-Karachi" target="_blank">reports</a> said <span class="caps">UBL</span> bowler Yasin Murtaza jumped out of the second floor window and fractured his leg.

Three doctors were reportedly also among the dead.

This footage, shot by Karachi-based journalist <a href="https://twitter.com/mohsinhassan84" target="_blank">Mohsin Hassan</a>, shows the hotel fire raging and guests fleeing to safety.
