Almost one month after the November 8 election, North Carolina Gov <a href="http://talkingpointsmemo.com/livewire/pat-mccrory-concedes" target="_blank">Pat McCrory conceded</a> on Monday, December 5. McCrory lost his re-election bid to Democrat Roy Cooper by a <a href="http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/wireStory/north-carolina-governors-race-reach-conclusion-43976929" target="_blank">tight margin and had been waiting for a recount</a>.

McCrory published the statement on Youtube, saying it was time to respect the outcome of the race.

“Despite continued questions that should be answered regarding the voting process, I personally believe that the majority of our citizens have spoken, and we now should everything we can to support the 75th governor of North Carolina, Roy Cooper,” he said.
