North Dakota resident Lauren Ashley Otradovec got a surprise on the morning of Tuesday, December 6, when she opened the door of her Glenburn home and found a wall of snow with the door’s markings, including the house number, printed onto it.

After sharing a photo of the imprint to Facebook, Otradovec shared video showing another person breaking through the wall of snow and into blizzard conditions outside.

A cold wave of air began to spread across the US Midwest early that week and was expected to continue towards the Northeast into the weekend, according to <a href="http://www.accuweather.com/en/weather-news/frigid-air-to-grip-midwestern-northeastern-us-into-the-weekend/70000202" target="_blank">Accuweather</a>. Temperatures in Glenburn dropped as low as 3.2 degrees Fahrenheit on December 6, according to weather data aggregated by <a href="https://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=glenburn+north+dakota+weather+December+6+2016" target="_blank">Wolfram Alpha</a>, and the <a href="https://www.facebook.com/minotnorthdakota/posts/10154644736313820" target="_blank">nearby city of Minot saw heavy snowfall</a>.
