Venezuela seized nearly <a href="https://twitter.com/sundde_ve/status/807349243044360192" target="_blank">four million pieces of toys</a> during a raid in Caracas on Saturday, December 10.

Authorities said the company, Kreisel, hiked prices of the toys, which it claimed to be second-hand items to be distributed as Christmas toys for the poor.

Superintendent William Contreras said the <a href="https://twitter.com/sundde_ve/status/807288339581861888" target="_blank">more than three million toys</a> would be sold at low prices.

This video from Venezuela’s consumer protection agency, National Superintendence for the Defense of Socioeconomic Rights, or Sundde, shows boxes of seized toys.

This came a week after the government’s order for retailers to cut prices of goods, a move that some businesses said would push them towards bankruptcy, <a href="http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-38275292" target="_blank"><span class="caps">BBC</span></a> reported.
