Firefighters inched out onto the frozen Shediac River in Canada’s New Brunswick province on Saturday, December 10, to rescue a moose that had become trapped in the ice.

<a href="http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/new-brunswick/nb-moose-rescued-shediac-river-1.3891161" target="_blank"><span class="caps">CBC</span></a> reported that the volunteer firefighters broke up the ice to create a path back to the shore for the moose.
