A snowstorm struck southeast Michigan from Sunday through Monday, dropping up to 11 inches of snow on parts of metro Detroit and lowering the temperature to around -20 degrees Fahrenheit, according to the National Weather Service.

Many schools in the area were shut on Monday and forecasters warned of snow-covered, “very hazardous” roads, Grand Rapids-based newspaper MLive reported.

This drone footage shows the snowy conditions in Walled Lake, which is around 33 miles northwest of Detroit.

Michigan could face another snowstorm the coming weekend, according to local media, quoting meteorologist Nathan Jerezal.
