Lina Shamy, an activist who tweets from east Aleppo, released a video on December 12 calling on viewers to save the city.

Speaking in the video, Shamy says those left in east Aleppo are “exposed to a genocide”. She says that “50,000” people who “rebelled against the dictator al-Assad” are now “threatened with … executions or dying under bombing.”

Shamy also alludes to reports of summary executions in east Aleppo. A pro-regime media source denied the allegations of summary executions.
