Hundreds of demonstrators gathered outside the Palace of Justice in Putrajaya, on Wednesday, December 14, awaiting the verdict in the case of Malaysian politician Anwar Ibrahim’s final appeal to have his prison sentence for sodomy overturned.

The Malaysian Federal Court heard Anwar’s final bid on October 12, to set aside his conviction and five year sentence for allegedly sodomizing his former aide. Despite much resistance from the public, the court denied his final appeal, according to local news reports.

These videos, uploaded by the National Trust Party, show protesters holding banners and demanding Anwar’s release.
