A huge column of black smoke billowed from a <a href="https://twitter.com/FDNYAlerts/status/809083880254898176" target="_blank">two-alarm fire</a> at an <span class="caps">NYU</span> Medical Center building in New York on Wednesday, December 14.

The fire took place at a construction site adjacent to NYU’s Langone Medical Center, and some patients and staff have been evacuated, according to <a href="http://newyork.cbslocal.com/2016/12/14/nyu-langone-medical-center-fire/" target="_blank">reports</a>.

The <span class="caps">FDNY</span> <a href="https://twitter.com/FDNYAlerts/status/809094573054160896" target="_blank">tweeted</a> that the fire was under control around 1 pm local time.
