Lina Shamy, an activist who tweets from besieged Aleppo, issued another call to action on December 14, urging those watching to continue to push for global action on behalf of those trapped inside the city.

Lina claims that “Iranian militias broke the ceasefire”, a claim corroborated by <a href="https://newswire.storyful.com/storylines/*/stories/151658?collection=aleppo-offensive" target="_blank">other activists remaining inside the city</a>. Artillery shelling and aerial bombardments inside the city stopped during the evening hours of December 14, according to <a href="https://twitter.com/PrimoAhmad/status/809170672668835851" target="_blank">activist reports</a>.

In conversations with Storyful, one activist said that the evacuations are expected to begin during the early hours of December 15, with the first convoys including only severely wounded civilians.
