Here's something you don't see everyday. Well, actually the locals in Tokyo do. Crowds descending on the Tokyo subway during rush hour is so common, this passenger doesn’t even react as the subway pushers on duty shove him into the train. Everyone getting onto the subway share a mutual understanding of what needs to be done to get them into the subway. The crazy thing is that there are actually jobs meant for pushing people onto the subway.

Who knew that urban congestion could be so bad. When we hear about jam-packed subways and urban hubs, many people think about New York and Los Angeles. Even then, their worst jam-packed subway wouldn't even compare to this crazy scene. The amazing thing is that it is just the way of life for these subway go-ers in Tokyo.

Imagine being on that subway, packed like a sardine among men, women, and children that you don't know, potentially in the sneeze-zone for upwards of ten people. Now that'd be quite the ride.

Italian photographer Marco Patella captured this video of the chaotic scene.
