The Syrian Red Crescent said it was working with the Red Cross to evacuate people.

Pro-opposition media said a Red Crescent convoy arrived to the Sukari neighborhood to prepare for the evacuation.

The first of a series of planned evacuation convoys leaving east Aleppo on December 15 came under fire at the al-Ramousah checkpoint, according to local media.
