Amid the ongoing evacuation convoys out of besieged Aleppo, activist and journalist Zouhir al-Shimale posted a video during the early morning hours of December 16 indicating that hundreds of people are waiting outside in the cold for more buses.

It is currently 29 degrees Fahrenheit in Aleppo, and despite the fact that five convoys have successfully entered the western Aleppo countryside, there are, according to Staffan de Mistura, the UN Special Envoy to Syria, at least another 50,000 are expected to be evacuated over the coming days.

While the majority of displaced Aleppo residents are expected to be evacuated further westwards into the Idlib Province, a number of critically wounded civilians are expected to head north towards the Turkish border for urgent medical care. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has already indicated that the country is ready to accept an undisclosed number of Aleppo civilians, according to opposition media reports.
