Bana Alabed, a Syrian girl and the focus of an activist Twitter account run by her mother, Fatemah, from rebel-held areas in Aleppo, arrived safely outside the city on December 19, according to multiple activist reports.

Photos from a number of sources were described as showing Alabed after the evacuation. Thousands of people have made their way outside the city on buses or in ICRC ambulances in recent days, despite multiple delays and breeches of the agreement in place to manage the evacuation.

This footage shows Alabed with Hadi Al-Abdallah, a media activist who has regularly reported from Aleppo.

Alabed, speaking in Arabic, talks about the destruction of her home, saying her family got out from the rubble safe and sound. She says the evacuation was difficult and that they had only water but no food. She thanks the children of the world for supporting the children of Aleppo.
