Workers have used explosives to try and clear a huge landslide blocking the 62 mile road linking Marlborough to Molesworth, New Zealand.

Video released by Marlborough District Council shows workers using 240 pounds explosives to try and remove 15 ton boulders lodged in the land slip that was triggered by the Kaikoura earthquake. The Awatere Valley Road has been closed since the deadly earthquake struck on November 14.
