Young Cancer Survivor Abseils For Charity Fundraiser

The <span class="caps">NSW</span> Police Force participated in a fund-raising abseiling event in the Blue Mountains on Tuesday, December 20, in partnership with the Children’s Cancer Institute.

Northern Beaches Local Area Command officers took part in the <a href="http://www.police.nsw.gov.au/news/media_release_archive?sq_content_src=%2BdXJsPWh0dHBzJTNBJTJGJTJGZWJpenByZC5wb2xpY2UubnN3Lmdvdi5hdSUyRm1lZGlhJTJGNTg5MzQuaHRtbCZhbGw9MQ%3D%3D" target="_blank">‘Dare the Boss’ challenge</a> as part of the fund-raiser, along with those who have been through cancer treatment.

Footage shows six-year-old Isla, the daughter of Senior Constable Sarah Batchelor, take part in a shorter abseil. Isla recently completed treatment for leukaemia.

More than $6000 was raised for the charity.
