Damaged Cars, Wreckage at the Scene of the Tultepec Explosion

Emergency crews from Tultepec, Mexico, and the surrounding areas were deployed to attend to the scene of an enormous explosion at a fireworks market in the suburbs of Mexico City on December 20.

The <a href="https://twitter.com/CruzRoja_MX/status/811337808270852096" target="_blank">Mexican Red Cross</a> said they deployed ten ambulances and fifty paramedics to the scene. Firefighters from <a href="https://newswire.storyful.com/storylines/*/stories/15222331" target="_blank">neighboring towns</a> helped neutralize fires and explosive material in the area in the aftermath of the explosion.

Thirty-one people were killed and 60 were injured, according to a <a href="http://edomexinforma.com/2016/12/edomex-informa-sobre-explosion-en-tultepec/" target="_blank">press release</a> from the state of Mexico.
