Storm Barbara battered west Ireland’s coastline on Friday, December 23, with gusts of up to 120km/h.

Severe weather warnings were in place for coastal regions across counties Donegal, Galway and Clare, and around 2,500 homes were left without power, <a href="" target="_blank">according to broadcaster <span class="caps">RTE</span></a>.

Rock climber Iain Miller captured waves pounding the Crohy Head on Donegal’s western coastline at low tide.
