The new Italian prime minister, Paolo Gentiloni, toured the earthquake-struck towns of Norcia, San Ginesio, and Amatrice in central Italy on December 24, greeting and thanking people involved in the recovery effort.

Gentiloni assumed the office of prime minister on December 12 after Matteo Renzi stepped down.

The video shows Gentiloni visiting sites including the basilica of San Benedetto in Norcia, destroyed in a 6.6-magnitude earthquake on October 30, and the Church of Sant’Agostino in Amatrice, badly damaged in a 6.2-magnitude earthquake on August 24.
