North Dakota was blanketed with snow on Sunday, December 25, as the National Weather Service put a blizzard warning into effect for most of the state.

8-15 inches of snow were predicted in the central part of the state. The North Dakota Transportation Department closed most of Interstate 94 on Sunday night, from the Montana border to Jamestown.

The storm has caused power outages across the state.

Storyful is trying to confirm if the snow accumulation was an all-time record.
