Charming young kangaroos with music is far cuter and far less frightening than charming snakes, as Australian guitarist Joe Robinson shows.

A December 28 video showed the Nashville-based musician practising on a grassy hill when a joey, which Robinson named Wendy, approached him. The kangaroo grazed next to Robinson while he played an acoustic version of his song “Uli’s Jump".

The guitarist then produced some food and offered it to Wendy as a post-show snack.

A largely self-taught musician from the small town of Temagog in New South Wales, Australia, Joe Robinson is a guitar player and vocalist. He is best known for his virtuoso guitar abilities and for winning the 2008 season of Australia's Got Talent.

Joe started playing piano at the age of six, only because he was told his fingers were too small to play the guitar. But when he turned 10, he quit piano to get back to his first love, the six stringed beauty. He outgrew his guitar teacher in less than 12 months, and started to teach himself from the internet. At the age of 11, Joe began touring with different Australian artists, including Tommy Emmanuel, who became his mentor.

In 2010 Joe moved to Nashville, Tennessee, and was named "Best New Talent" in Guitar Player magazine Reader's Poll that same year!
