Swathes of South Australia <a href="http://www.abc.net.au/news/2016-12-28/sa-weather-adelaide-traffic-lights-down-floods-highest-rainfall/8150464" target="_blank">were lashed by rain</a>, power outages and downed trees as a result of a severe storm that swept across the state on Tuesday, December 27.

While the State Emergency Service (<span class="caps">SES</span>) alerted Adelaide residents of possible flooding, other parts of the state were also affected by the storm. Footage recorded in Andamooka, nearly 600km north of the capital, shows a utility truck driver attempt to cross a heavily flooded road and avoiding being swept away in the torrent.
