Fatalities Reported After Jharkhand Mine Collapse

At least five people were <a href="http://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-india-38465626" target="_blank">reportedly</a> killed and dozens more were feared missing in a coal mine collapse in Godda in India’s Jharkhand state on December 29.

The <a href="http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/city/ranchi/ten-miners-killed-40-more-trapped-in-jharkhand-coal-mine-collapse/articleshow/56255470.cms" target="_blank">Times of India</a> put the death toll at 10.

India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi <a href="https://twitter.com/narendramodi/status/814718992812150784" target="_blank">said</a> he was “saddened” by the incident and <a href="https://twitter.com/narendramodi/status/814719249075683328" target="_blank">that the country’s National Disaster Response Force</a> was working to help those still trapped.
