Knott's Berry Farm Amusement Ride Gets Stuck, Passengers Lifted to Safety

The Sky Cabin ride at Knott’s Berry Farm in Buena Park, California, became stuck at 130 feet in the air on December 30, stranding at least 18 people, including seven children, reported <a href="http://abc7.com/news/knotts-berry-farm-ride-stuck-130-feet-in-air;-rescue-underway/1679992/" target="_blank"><span class="caps">ABC</span> 7</a>, citing fire officials.

Fire crews had attempted to reach stranded parkgoers with a ladder, but fell short, and then used a rope to lower down one passenger at a time.

According to local reports, the ride stopped at around 2 pm and firefighters were called to the scene three hours later, when the Sky Cabin operators were unable to lower the ride.

No injuries were immediately reported.
