A man from Brazil named Wagner de Lima passed away after losing control of his motorcycle. Needless to say his friends and family were devastated by the loss, but someone else was as devastated as they were - Wagner’s horse, Sereno.

Wando de Lima, Wagner’s brother, has said that Sereno was everything to Wagner and that the horse probably felt that something was wrong and wanted to say goodbye. As they were leading the horse towards the cemetery, we was whimpering and stomping on the ground. When they let Sereno get near the casket, he started to cry quietly beside it. Other people who were at Wagner’s funeral say that the horse’s behavior was extraordinary and that, if they weren’t there, they never would have believed it possible.

Many people in de Lima’s community offered to buy the horse, but the brother decided to keep him instead. That way, Wagner will be with them in spirit forever, thanks to his wonderful companion.

Who says horses cannot mourn their loved ones? This is the heartwarming moment a a grieving horse mourns the death of his owner. After you watch the video below you will realize why this story spread so quick on the Internet. A 34 year old Paraguayan cowboy, Wagner Lima died in a motorcycle accident on New Year’s Day 2017, in Brazil. For many years his best friend was a horse, named Sereno and everyone knew how connected those two were. And that’s why Wagner’s brother Wando without having any second thoughts, decided to take Sereno at the funeral of his beloved friend.

As Wando shared with Globo News, he had a feeling that Sereno knew what was going on and wanted to say last goodbye. Wando organized a very sentimental march in Cajazeiras, Brazil. They walked all the way down through the city to Wagner’s resting place.

Everyone got so emotional when the horse got closer to the casket to pinpoint the scent of his loving friend. It was very obvious that Sereno was grieving. In Wagner’s loving memory Sereno will stay in the family and they will take care for him.

Talking about mourning animals, take a look at this other video of a mourning cat seemingly refusing to leave owner’s grave. This cat crushed Ismail Mat’s funeral and started rolling over in the dirt above the grave, scratching dirt with its paws. Someone please console this cat, I am crying!

Footage shows the stubborn cat circling the grave despite all the efforts of Soffuan’s cousins and aunts attempting to move the cat away from it. It is expected of cats to grieve the loss of a presence and show it in many ways, but it’s usually dogs we see exhibiting this behavior. How strange! It is surprising that this white cat is actually not a pet cat, but it's probably a hometown cat near the local mosque! Obviously, the stray cat has seen something being buried and wants to get to it and get it out!
