He Opens His Christmas Present And Seconds Later He's In Tears
Christmas came early for this Marine veteran as he received a surprise puppy present a few weeks premature to assist with his treatment for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. Peter Coukoulis has suffered with PTSD since his return to civilian life three years ago, and could barely contain his delight when mum Dena presented him with a tiny beagle on Wednesday December 7th.
Oblivious to what’s about to unfold, the 26-year-old sits in the kitchen at home in Tallahassee, Florida, USA, with family gathered all around him when a neatly wrapped box is placed in front of him. As Peter opens the lid to see the adorable pooch inside, he begins to weep uncontrollably as he clutches and kisses the tiny pup, in a truly heartwarming moment of embrace.
Dena says that the puppy has already changed Peter’s life because it made him happy after his three years of struggle. It is amazing how animals can help people recover from various disorders. The unconditional love that a puppy can give is all the therapy some people need to heal. They say, happiness cannot be bought it can be felt, and we sure feel with this brave man who was caught in the moment and allowed his true emotions to come out.
