FADE IN:

EXT. ROLLING PASTURES FARM - DAY

A sign welcomes us to "Rolling Pasture Farm" in Livingston, Tennessee. Two HONKING GEESE waddle across an open pasture dotted with SAN CLEMENTE ISLAND GOATS grazing.

VELZY
You grab the tomatoes this time, Dale!
DALE
Now Velzy, you know I can't climb the fence.

Velzy and Dale bicker like an old married couple but clearly care for each other deeply.

INT. OLD FARMHOUSE - KITCHEN - DAY

The screen DOOR SLAMS. DARIN (50s) enters the old farmhouse kitchen.

Two GEESE HONK and waddle in.

DARIN
Hey you two. Sorry I'm late, had to feed the goats.

The geese EAT TOMATOES noisily from Darin's hand. He smiles at their antics.

DARIN (CONT'D)
There's no place I'd rather be than here with all of you.

Velzy HONKS affectionately. Dale rests his head on Darin's workboot.

EXT. PASTURE - SUNSET

The GEESE stand amidst the grazing SAN CLEMENTE GOATS as the SKY fades to orange.

VELZY
There's a whole world past that ridge.
DALE
Our lot's here with Darin and the goats.

Velzy HEAD NUDGES Dale. They watch the PLATEAU in the distance, content for now.

FADE OUT.
