In this incredibly close encounter, a black bear appears out of the woods and slowly approaches a friendly man sitting in the porch. The ignorant animal curiously investigates his human friend, but soon decides it is uninterested, and decides to leave!

It is amazing to see a black bear showing utter curiosity to befriend a human friend, much to our amusement. This is the intense moment when a dangerous black bear slowly approaches a man, showing no violent nature whatsoever. However, after sniffing his body in detail, the bear soon decides that the human is not her type and slowly retreats into the woods. What a lovely encounter! Admit it, you never expected this close encounter to end like it did! With a happy ending and a new friendship! Adorable!

Who would have ever thought that a black bear would be so curious to become friends with a human? Maybe it is the fact that the man was sitting still and not moving a muscle, hence, not presenting any danger to the animal whatsoever. Teliece Sander of Lake Mary in Florida, had a very close encounter with a huge black bear on August 29, 2016. Reportedly, he was sitting outside taking a quiet moment on a rainy day, so the gutter was gurgling and he was chilling on the porch, gaming on his phone. Being so into the game, he didn’t realize that a big black bear sneaked from the woods and came to sniff his out. By the time he realized he wasn’t alone, it was too late to do anything, judging this huge animal was so close to him, so he decided not to do anything, and wait for the animal to leave. That’s exactly what happened. Maybe the friendly bear felt neglected and ignored, so he soon left the man be, and disappeared into the woods. What a meeting!

Just imagine, Teliece recalls that he had his phone up in front of his chest and was fortunately able to take a picture and text his son a message that read 'help me'. Naturally, the son thought that his father was playing a joke on him until he sent him the second message reading “be very quiet".

Then, he started videoing, which he believed helped him through in this strange encounter. Luckily, he kept his cool and knew that he needed to be still and not make eye contact with this 300 and some pound bear, fearing that the beast might run him over.

Tension was rising when the bear approached him from a very close distance, that he could smell him and his wet animal odor. It was then when he thought that if he survives this scary moment, he could live forever. Good thing he didn’t freak out and didn’t do any sudden movement, because the black bear was only seconds away from ripping his face off for good.

Moments later, the bear lifts his head, overlooking his shoulders, staring at his son. His son must be one hell of a scary dude since almost immediately after losing to a staring contest with he, the black bear turned away and left. Good thing that nobody got hurt.
