50 Years of data shows married Women are WAY happier than unmarried women

Marriage rates in the United States have dropped 43% in the last 50 years

And according to the General Social Survey at the University of Chicago, unmarried women are around half as likely as married women to report being very happy.

Unmarried women are also 2-3 times more likely to report being not too happy compared to married women.

This disparity becomes even more apparent when a women reaches 40 years and older with unmarried women 2-4 times more likely to report being not too happy compared to married women.

Believe it or not, despite marriage rates dropping over the past 50 years the difference in happiness between married and unmarried women has actually become bigger, not smaller.
