Guillain-Barré Syndrome is a rapid-onset disease in which a patient's autoimmune system attacks and causes inflammation and deterioration of the peripheral nervous system. This condition causes ascending paralysis which means that it originates in the feet and ascends upward throughout the rest of the body. A patient with Guillain-Barré Syndrome may show the following signs and symptoms...

- Shallow breathing
