Garden update July 1 2023 More than knee-high!

After a week of smog alerts, we have fresh air today! We also have July heat and humidity--which is what makes Indiana tomatoes and sweet corn so inimitable. ;)

If you've heard "knee-high by the 4th of July" about field corn, you'll see our sweet corn is much taller than that! So are the tomatoes. Things in the garden have recovered much better than expected from that hailstorm 2 weeks ago. The only things damaged irreparably (did I spell that right?) were most of the cherries and many of the peaches and apples.
